A3. No. It is important that you wait until Huntsville Mobile Notary has reviewed the form and verified your identification BEFORE you sign the form.
Q4. What is a Notary Public?
A4. The Notary Public is defined as a public, civil or ministerial officer, and an impartial agent of the state, who in the performance of his duties, exercises a delegation of the state’s sovereign power, as in attesting the genuineness of any deeds or writings in order to render them available as evidence of the facts therein contained, and in administering oaths and attesting to the authenticity of signatures. (Notary Law, Procedures & Ethics - A Complete Reference of Notarial Laws and Procedures in America, by Peter J. Van Alstyne, JD – page 2.)
Q5. Do I need to provide I.D.?
A5. Yes, you need at least one form of government-issue identification with a photograph. For example: i) State-issued Identification Card; ii) State-issued Driver’s License; iii) Government-issued Passport. Additional forms of identification may be acceptable. Just ask your Huntsville Mobile Notary.
Q6. What if I don’t have I.D.?
A6. The Huntsville Mobile Notary must be able to properly identify the person signing the forms. If a person does not have satisfactory identification then the forms cannot be notarized.
Q7. How does Huntsville Mobile Notary differ from a regular Notary Public at my bank?
A7. The notary public at your bank is usually available only when your local branch is open. That normally doesn’t include weekends, early mornings, evenings or Holidays. You are required to travel to your bank to get your forms notarized. Finally, you may need to be an accountholder before the bank will notarize your form.
Huntsville Mobile Notary is available every day of the week including weekends and Holidays. We drive to your location. You do not have to take time off from work or leave your home.
